An NBR rubber washer places a compliant ring between adjoining parts, offering a softer interface around a fastener or locating feature. The useful dimensions include the center hole, outside diameter and thickness; each affects how the washer sits and how much rubber is available to compress.
Choose the center opening to clear the intended fastener without allowing the washer to wander excessively. The surrounding faces should support the ring rather than leave a large portion hanging over an edge. Where a washer is used as a small bumper, consider the contact direction and available deflection instead of treating any ring of the right diameter as equivalent.
NBR material selection should reflect the fluids and temperatures actually present in the device. Tightening also needs attention: excessive compression can push rubber outward and reduce the intended separation between parts. Inspect the installed washer for uneven squeeze and contact with sharp threads. Replace a damaged ring with the intended thickness so the assembly spacing is not inadvertently changed during servicing.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Where a washer is used as a small bumper, consider the contact direction and available deflection instead of treating any ring of the right diameter as equivalent. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
