An EPDM rubber electrical grommet provides a compliant interface at a corresponding opening. Its actual role may involve edge protection or another defined mounting function, according to the chosen geometry. NBR and EPDM are different material choices and should not be treated as interchangeable merely because the part outlines match.
Check the receiving hole, panel thickness and central passage independently. The grommet needs to remain located while the connected wire or component follows its intended route. Any anti-shock or isolation requirement belongs to the evaluated assembly, and the rubber description does not establish an electrical insulation rating.
Fit into a clean opening without sharp burrs and inspect the retaining edge after the central feature is installed. During maintenance, look for rubber displaced by cable movement or hardware pressure. If the environment or contacting substance changes, reconsider the selected compound as well as the fit. A replacement should preserve the defined material and geometry rather than rely on a similar appearance at the visible flange.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. If the environment or contacting substance changes, reconsider the selected compound as well as the fit. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
