Product Overview
EPDM wire harness grommets with a 9 mm hole provide a defined central passage within a custom panel interface. The hole dimension should be considered with the finished harness section, including its jacket or wrapping. The outside groove and retaining lips require separate dimensions for the receiving panel.
Confirm the harness arrangement at the point where it passes through the rubber. A branch or wrapping overlap close to the opening can change the required clearance even when the main wire size remains the same. Position the harness supports so the passage is not pulled sharply off axis after assembly. The grommet should continue to cover the metal edge around the route.
Select the EPDM formulation for the actual environment at the penetration, including any fluid or cleaning contact. Finish the panel edge before fitting and keep the bore clean during threading. Inspect the seating again once neighboring components are installed. If the harness is later changed, reassess the hole fit and route rather than assuming the original 9 mm passage will accommodate every replacement configuration.
