Product Overview

A rubber seal specification should define the actual contact section needed by the assembly. A flat annular washer and a shaped perimeter gasket can serve different joint geometries despite being made from similar materials. The custom design should follow the mating faces, openings, and retaining features that determine where compression occurs.

Choose dimensions and compound around the medium, temperature, and movement involved. Check the available support beneath every sealing region and keep the rubber from extending into an unintended gap. The intended closing position should guide thickness rather than the desire to add more flexible material.

Fit the selected part flat and aligned before tightening. Inspect for folds or an edge dragged out of position. During service, compare the contact pattern with the surrounding hardware before replacing the seal. Correct an uneven face or locating problem where needed, since a new custom outline cannot compensate for a joint that no longer presents the contact surfaces for which that outline was designed.

Material options
Rubber. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. The intended closing position should guide thickness rather than the desire to add more flexible material.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
