A molded electrical EPDM rubber grommet provides a custom interface at a wiring opening. Its outer profile fits the panel, while the central passage accommodates the cable or bundle. The finished cutout, panel thickness, and cable arrangement should be established together so the rubber remains correctly seated.
Install and inspect the grommet before the enclosure makes the rear lip difficult to see. The wire should pass without pulling the retaining section into the opening. Once the route is secured, check that the rubber still covers the edge and that the cable does not make a sharp bend against the bore exit. Intended cable supports should carry the routing forces.
Select the EPDM formulation for the local exposure and any specific electrical requirement. An electrical application does not by itself establish an insulation rating for every rubber compound. Keep the opening smooth and the passage clean during fitting. Following maintenance, inspect the wire jacket and retaining profile together, especially if the cable size or surrounding enclosure components have changed.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Once the route is secured, check that the rubber still covers the edge and that the cable does not make a sharp bend against the bore exit. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
