Product Overview

A custom rubber o ring needs a cross-section suited to its seat as well as an overall diameter that fits the mating geometry. Two rings can surround the same opening while occupying different amounts of assembled space and developing different contact.

ETOL can tailor dimensions, material and color. Define the seat width, depth and contact direction together with the expected medium and operating exposure. Keep the selected compound and profile associated with the same application when comparing alternatives.

Fit the ring without rolling it over a sharp edge or leaving one region stretched more than the rest. Inspect the circumference before the joint closes and follow its specified assembly condition. Evaluate the completed interface under the intended duty. During service, remove the ring carefully and inspect its contact pattern for localized deformation. Correct a damaged seat or an installation obstruction before fitting another part. A larger or thicker ring should not be used simply to fill an unexplained gap without reviewing the joint geometry that created it.

Material options
Rubber. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Fit the ring without rolling it over a sharp edge or leaving one region stretched more than the rest.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
