Rubber o-ring seals can provide a continuous contact path in a joint exposed to water, provided the ring and surrounding groove are matched. The section needs the intended compression and support when the assembly closes. A ring that is simply tight around one component may still leave an unsuitable contact condition against the other mating surface.
Define the groove dimensions, pressure direction, and whether the joint moves during operation. Choose the compound for the actual water conditions, temperature, and any cleaning substances present. The complete joint should be assessed under its intended exposure rather than assigning water resistance from the ring alone.
Keep the groove clean and install without twisting the section. Protect the ring from threads and sharp edges along the assembly route. After closing, inspect for pinching where accessible and check the joint using the relevant operating procedure. During maintenance, examine the damage pattern before replacement; a cut or extruded edge may indicate a geometry problem that needs correction alongside the new seal.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
