A rubber seal in ring form provides a custom interface around an opening or adjoining component. Its dimensions should be developed around the receiving seat and the way the joint closes. The selected cross section determines how the rubber occupies the available space under compression.

The ring's appearance does not establish a pressure rating or a particular processing capability for the finished assembly.
