Product Overview

A silicone seal o ring gasket for jar lids should sit on a clean, continuous contact path. Residue beneath one small section can hold the ring above its seat and change the way the lid closes around the remaining circumference.

ETOL supports custom dimensions, material and color. Select the formulation for the contents and processing conditions of the intended container. Compare the actual lid and jar rim, including the available assembled space, rather than choosing solely by the ring's external diameter.

Remove deposits from both mating surfaces before positioning the gasket. Keep it relaxed and inspect for twisting as the lid is applied. Evaluate the completed closure for its specified function. During cleaning or any permitted reuse, inspect the underside of the ring and the hidden seat rather than only wiping the exposed edge. Replace cuts or permanent deformation and review the closing path if the gasket repeatedly shifts. Do not use an additional layer to conceal a damaged seat or a profile that no longer matches the jar.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Select the lid-ring compression with a clean, continuous seat; trapped residue can lift one section and alter contact around the circumference.
Custom dimensions
Do not use an additional layer to conceal a damaged seat or a profile that no longer matches the jar.
Fit & assembly
Residue beneath one small section can hold the ring above its seat and change the way the lid closes around the remaining circumference.
Use & inspection
During cleaning or any permitted reuse, inspect the underside of the ring and the hidden seat rather than only wiping the exposed edge.

Photos illustrate structure or material only. The jar rim and lid seat together define the space available for the ring around the full closing path. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
