A compression wire grommet should be developed around the actual cable, opening, and retained geometry. The material formulation needs to suit the installation's defined environmental and fire-related requirements where applicable. A general fireproof description does not establish a rating for a finished cable entry.
Check the panel thickness and the cable's outside size at the passage. The grommet should remain supported without forcing the wire into a sharp bend. Any compression or retention arrangement needs to follow the assembly design rather than being improvised to make a nearby size fit.
Prepare the opening and install through the intended procedure, inspecting the full retained perimeter afterward. Secure the cable with the required supports so that pull is not concentrated at the rubber. During maintenance, check for cuts or displacement after routing changes. Use the specified formulation and profile for replacement, preserving the complete entry requirements instead of assuming another rubber component provides the same environmental or fire-related behavior.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Secure the cable with the required supports so that pull is not concentrated at the rubber. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
