Product Overview

A flat silicone rubber ring can follow a special outline where the joint is not simply circular. The full perimeter, local width, and corner transitions determine how it sits on the mating face. A part pulled into place to align its final opening may lose the flat contact needed elsewhere along the sealing path.

Compare the entire shape with the receiving surface, including any holes and changes in support. Choose thickness around the available closing gap and select the silicone formulation for the actual medium and temperature. Narrow regions should remain supported rather than bridging spaces into which the rubber can spread.

Lay the ring flat without stretching and bring the adjoining face down evenly. Inspect for a folded corner or edge displaced into a passage. During disassembly, examine the contact pattern around the whole outline. A localized crease or tear can indicate an alignment or support issue, and correcting that feature may be necessary before a replacement can maintain its intended shape in the joint.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Choose thickness around the available closing gap and select the silicone formulation for the actual medium and temperature.
Custom dimensions

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
