Product Overview

Rubber end caps for round tubing cover a tube end using a profile matched to the selected connection. An outside fitting cap is sized around the tube's exterior, while an inserting closure relies on the bore; those dimensions should not be interchanged. The length of engagement and condition of the cut end also affect how the cap sits.

Check the tube after cutting or finishing, including burrs and any distortion away from a round shape. A flexible rubber component can accommodate its intended fit, but it should not be forced over a sharp edge that can slice the wall. Select the compound around the substances and temperatures present at the capped end.

Fit in line with the tube and verify that the closed section reaches its intended position. Where the cap is used on a fluid path, assess retention and sealing under the relevant conditions rather than assuming a dust cover is a pressure closure. During removal, inspect the contact region for cuts and keep the tube edge sound before fitting a replacement.

Material options
Rubber compound options, customized alongside the profile and contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Solid rubber options: 30–90 Shore A. Where the cap is used on a fluid path, assess retention and sealing under the relevant conditions rather than assuming a dust cover is a pressure closure.
Custom geometry
An outside fitting cap is sized around the tube's exterior, while an inserting closure relies on the bore; those dimensions should not be interchanged.
Fit evaluation
Fit in line with the tube and verify that the closed section reaches its intended position.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; OEM identification positioned outside closure contact surfaces.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
