Match the attachment and installation method
A solid rubber plug for pipes can be custom developed in silicone for a food related closing application. The finished formulation should suit the actual contents and cleaning conditions. Match the body to the pipe bore and available insertion length, with enough accessible exterior for the intended removal method.
Consider the pipe in its installed arrangement. A nearby bend or internal shoulder can limit how far the plug enters. The closure should establish contact at a defined location rather than being pushed in until it encounters an obstruction. Check that cleaning access remains practical around both the pipe mouth and the removed plug.
Before fitting, clear residue from the contacting surfaces and inspect the pipe edge for damage. Keep the solid body intact; a puncture or improvised opening changes the closure's function. After removal, examine the inserted region for cuts or lasting distortion. Similar exterior sizes should not lead to interchange between pipes with different bores or seat depths. Pair the replacement with the actual working geometry and material requirements.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Similar exterior sizes should not lead to interchange between pipes with different bores or seat depths. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
