A rubber bushing for car applications involving fuel exposure should be selected for the specific fuel, temperature and contact duration. An occasional external splash and continuous contact are different conditions. The chosen compound needs assessment for the real location, including any other fluids encountered there.
Custom geometry, dimensions and color allow the bushing to fit its receiving component. Establish whether the part provides guidance, protection or a loaded mechanical interface, then define the corresponding fit and retention. The rubber should be evaluated in its installed condition after representative exposure.
Check for changes in bore size, outside engagement and surface condition. Swelling or hardening can affect the way a bushing locates even if its initial fit was correct. Keep the mating surfaces clean during assembly and avoid forcing an exposed part back into a seat if its shape has changed. During maintenance, review the source of recurring fluid residue as well as the rubber. A different compound should be assessed with the complete interface rather than substituted solely on a general fuel resistance description.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Custom geometry, dimensions and color allow the bushing to fit its receiving component. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
