An EPDM rubber cable grommet finishes furniture openings in desks and tables. The underside arrangement deserves as much attention as the visible top face. Cable trays, drawers or structural rails can pull cords at an angle and disturb the grommet after equipment is connected.
Custom dimensions and color options allow the part to match the desktop thickness and appearance. Check the opening with the intended cable bundle and consider how larger connector bodies will pass through during installation. The retaining profile should sit correctly without damaging the finished furniture edge.
Route cords below the surface so normal equipment repositioning does not lift the grommet or force a sharp bend at its exit. Keep trapped grit away from the interface when removing or refitting the part. Select the EPDM formulation for the expected cleaning and environmental conditions. During furniture maintenance, inspect the underside for a rolled lip or interference with moving drawers. A tidy appearance above the desk does not reveal every routing problem below it.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Cable trays, drawers or structural rails can pull cords at an angle and disturb the grommet after equipment is connected. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
