Product Overview

A square rubber washer can be custom molded as a flexible gasket for an interface exposed to heat. Choose the finished compound for the actual temperature and contact medium, while the square outline follows the mating area. The corners and central opening need the same attention as the overall width and thickness.

Check support at each corner before closing the joint. A corner that projects beyond its mating face can be pinched or pushed out of position. The washer should sit naturally around the central feature without being stretched into alignment.

Evaluate the assembled contact under the intended thermal conditions, including repeated exposure where relevant. Room temperature appearance alone does not establish the working fit. During maintenance, inspect for cuts, persistent flattening and corners that no longer return to their original shape. Clean the faces before replacement and preserve the specified profile. If distortion recurs, review the joint support and material selection instead of adding extra thickness to compensate for an unresolved fit or temperature issue.
