Product Overview

A rubber bumper pad used near heat needs both a suitable material formulation and an appropriate mechanical installation. The temperature at the pad can differ from the general surrounding air, particularly if it contacts a warm component directly. A heat-resistant description does not establish a single limit for every installation or exposure duration.

Define where the heat reaches the pad and how the part is loaded at the same time. Continuous compression and occasional bumper contact create different working conditions. The mounting arrangement must retain the pad without restricting its intended deformation or allowing another hard surface to bypass it.

Evaluate the complete assembly under the relevant combination of temperature and movement. Check for changes in clearance, attachment, and the rubber's resting shape rather than inspecting only after a brief unloaded contact. During maintenance, note any lasting hardening, softening, or distortion and investigate the exposure as well as the loading. Replacing the pad with one of the same visible dimensions does not resolve an unsuitable formulation or a contact position that has changed.

Material options
Custom rubber compound and color, selected for the contact conditions and required geometry.
Hardness range
30–90 Shore A for rubber. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: Define where the heat reaches the pad and how the part is loaded at the same time.
Custom profile & fit
Replacing the pad with one of the same visible dimensions does not resolve an unsuitable formulation or a contact position that has changed.
Assembly considerations
Evaluate the complete assembly under the relevant combination of temperature and movement.
Design check
Check for changes in clearance, attachment, and the rubber's resting shape rather than inspecting only after a brief unloaded contact.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
