Product Overview

A silicone thin gasket is useful where the sealing interface allows only a small section height. The reduced thickness makes accurate positioning important, particularly around narrow edges that can fold under as the mating part is lowered. The gasket should follow the intended face without being stretched to correct its outline.

Custom dimensions and shapes can match the available joint. For heat exposure, select the silicone formulation around the actual temperature, duration and contacting substances. A thin section does not establish a different temperature rating by itself, and the complete joint still needs evaluation under its operating conditions.

Place the gasket on a clean face and inspect the entire perimeter before closing the assembly. Bring the opposing part into position without sliding it across the rubber. During removal, separate the faces carefully so the gasket is not torn by an edge it has adhered to in use. Replace a creased or damaged piece rather than flattening it by hand and assuming its sealing contact is unchanged.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
