A silicone gasket for a heated joint experiences the complete operating cycle, including warming, steady use, and cooling. The mating components may change their relative position across that cycle. A satisfactory fit while the assembly is cold is therefore only the starting point for selecting the custom seal.
Consider when the joint is opened and whether cleaning introduces a separate temperature change. The selected silicone must suit those exposures as well as the contacted medium. The gasket's geometry should remain appropriate to the assembly's intended closing position throughout its evaluated conditions, without relying on a general heat-resistant label.
Check the finished connection through the prescribed cycle and use its service procedure before inspection. Compare any persistent change in the rubber with the location of the mating surfaces. Uneven flattening may relate to the assembly's contact pattern rather than a uniform temperature effect. When replacing the gasket, retain the evaluated formulation and configuration so that a different compound is not introduced simply because the new part has the same visible shape.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
