A black Buna-N cable grommet should be developed for the wire route and the connector that may need to pass through it during assembly. The connector can require more clearance than the cable itself, so the installation sequence needs to be defined before the final bore and retaining profile are selected.
Custom geometry can follow the panel and available routing space. Choose the Buna-N formulation for the actual environment at the entry, and keep material identification separate from black color when similar parts use different compounds.
Trial the grommet with the finished cable and connector arrangement. Do not force a sharp connector edge through an undersized passage or stretch the retained section beyond its intended fit. After routing, check that the grommet remains seated and that the cable rests within the protected area. During service, inspect the bore after connector removal because a cut inside the rubber may not be visible from the outside once the cable is back in position.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The connector can require more clearance than the cable itself, so the installation sequence needs to be defined before the final bore and retaining profile are selected. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
