Product Overview

Molded rubber push buttons should remain free to operate while the surrounding keypad sheet is retained within the enclosure. In a water-protection design, that balance should be developed with the actual housing so the perimeter contact does not constrain nearby keys.

Customize the silicone profile around the selected switch layout, locating points and available stack height. Check keys close to corners or fasteners as well as those near the center. The waterproof designation does not establish a rating for a loose keypad or every possible enclosure arrangement.

Evaluate both input operation and the required exposure conditions in the completed device. Inspect for rubbing, partial return and movement of neighboring keys. During servicing, clean the mating surfaces through the prescribed method and restore the sheet to its designated position. Replacement should preserve the perimeter geometry and moving sections together so a visually similar set of buttons does not alter the interface that the finished enclosure was designed to provide.
