Product Overview

A Buna-N rubber gasket and a black silicone washer are different material configurations even when a similar ring profile is used. Buna-N identifies an NBR family, while black color does not establish the composition of another part. Choose the actual formulation around the sealed medium and service conditions.

Check the required outline, contact width and thickness against the mating faces. The gasket should receive the intended compression without entering an unsupported gap. An oil-proof description is not a universal compatibility statement for every oil, additive or cleaning substance.

Fit the selected component on clean surfaces without twisting or stretching it into alignment. Evaluate the complete joint for the required duty. During replacement, preserve the material identity as well as the geometry rather than choosing by color alone. If the used gasket has swollen or deformed, compare against the intended new-part dimensions so its changed shape is not inadvertently reproduced in the replacement selection.

Material options
NBR / Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. The gasket should receive the intended compression without entering an unsupported gap.
Custom dimensions
Check the required outline, contact width and thickness against the mating faces.
Fit & assembly
Fit the selected component on clean surfaces without twisting or stretching it into alignment.
Use & inspection
If the used gasket has swollen or deformed, compare against the intended new-part dimensions so its changed shape is not inadvertently reproduced in the replacement selection.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
