Rubber seal caps for industrial use cover a projecting end or opening with a molded closure adapted to its outside shape. The cap can be customized in color, size, and profile for the equipment. For a location exposed to elevated temperature, both the material choice and the way the cap engages the underlying component deserve attention.
Measure the complete covered region, including any shoulder or change in section. A cap may stop early on a raised feature even though its mouth appears to fit. The closed end should reach its intended relationship with the component without leaving the wall stretched unevenly. Nearby brackets or insulation can also limit how far the cap can be pushed on or how it can be grasped later.
Evaluate the fit under the actual operating and cooling conditions. Heat exposure, contact substances, and removal frequency together determine the appropriate compound and wall design. Keep the cap's interior clean before installation, especially when the component end has been exposed during maintenance. If the closure forms part of a fluid boundary, assess that assembled sealing function separately from its ability to cover the end.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
