Match the attachment and installation method
Custom silicone plugs for sealing need a profile and formulation suited to the intended opening and thermal conditions. The temperature at the plug, duration of exposure and contacting substances should guide the material selection rather than a general high-temperature label.
Develop the body, retained depth and handling area using the actual mating part. Include the access available after the surrounding assembly is complete. The selected closure needs evaluation through its required operating conditions; a close push fit alone does not establish a pressure or leakage rating.
Inspect the seating boundary after fitting and after the relevant service cycle. If the plug changes shape or becomes difficult to remove, examine the exposure and opening before forcing the grip. During replacement, keep the designated compound matched to the original profile and verify the mating surface is free of damage. A similarly sized plug in another material should not be substituted without reassessing the conditions of the complete closure.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Custom silicone plugs for sealing need a profile and formulation suited to the intended opening and thermal conditions. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
