Match the attachment and installation method
A rubber protective end cap should cover its mating feature to the intended depth while remaining removable by the selected handling method. For a heated application, the silicone formulation and fit need assessment at the actual operating temperatures. The surrounding component can change dimensions as it heats, affecting contact at the cap opening.
Check the internal profile, closed end clearance, and space around the outside wall. A cap that stops on an internal feature before its edge seats may leave part of the intended region uncovered. Select the compound for the contacting substances as well as the temperature cycle.
Fit without rolling the wall and inspect the seating boundary. During care, examine the interior for cuts and the opening for permanent stretching. If the cap no longer seats after thermal cycling, review the mating geometry and material rather than adding an external restraint that changes the intended closure. Preserve the selected profile when replacing the component for the same covered end.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The surrounding component can change dimensions as it heats, affecting contact at the cap opening. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.
43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
