A rubber grommet for hole sealing brings the panel opening and its intended contents into a defined rubber interface. Begin by deciding whether the hole is unused, occupied by one cable or shared by a bundle. Each arrangement needs a profile suited to the space it must close.
This custom component can vary in geometry, dimensions, compound, hardness and color. At the panel, check the edge finish and thickness. Within the passage, use the actual cable covering or bundle shape when evaluating contact. A large outside flange may hide a poor internal fit without correcting it.
Install the selected form without cutting extra slots to make an unsuitable cable arrangement fit. Any opening added during assembly can change the contact pattern and edge protection. After routing, keep the cable centered with its proper supports and examine the flange for lifting. Assess the required sealing duty on that completed arrangement. When a cable is removed or changed, revisit the entry profile instead of leaving the same opening around a substantially smaller replacement.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Within the passage, use the actual cable covering or bundle shape when evaluating contact. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
