Silicone dampers in an industrial machine provide compliant elements at the mounting or contact points defined by its design. Their installed space must accommodate the full machine cycle, not only the stationary position. A moving bracket or guard can enter the rubber's working area at a point that is easy to miss during assembly.
Review the intended motion and the location of nearby rigid features. The selected geometry should remain clear of sharp edges while the material suits the operating environment. A general shock-absorber description does not establish a rated stopping capacity or a hydraulic damping function.
Check the assembled mechanism through the required positions using the machine's appropriate evaluation procedure. Look for uneven contact on the rubber or a mounting feature forced away from alignment. During maintenance, compare wear with the intended contact path. A repeated mark outside the working face can reveal interference that should be corrected before another damper is installed, rather than hidden by selecting a thicker body for the same confined space.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Look for uneven contact on the rubber or a mounting feature forced away from alignment. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
157 sizes with a male stud at each end. Compare body diameter D, body height H, thread size and projecting stud length L.
