Custom butyl rubber stoppers for test tube applications should be developed around the tube mouth and the intended laboratory process. The finished butyl formulation must suit the contents and contact conditions, while the body geometry determines seating. Keep the material choice and dimensions associated with the particular tube system.
Check how the stopper is handled during preparation. Its accessible area should allow controlled fitting without touching the region that enters the tube. The rim and rubber should be inspected before assembly so particles or damaged edges do not interfere with the intended contact.
Medical and laboratory suitability depend on the finished component and its process, including any cleaning or treatment applied before use. Assess those conditions directly rather than assuming all butyl closures are interchangeable. Separate similar sizes during handling, and avoid modifying a stopper to fit a different neck. A cut, distorted body or contaminated contact surface should be addressed through the appropriate replacement and handling process, not hidden by pushing the closure farther into the tube.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The finished butyl formulation must suit the contents and contact conditions, while the body geometry determines seating. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
