A rubber gasket works within the closing geometry of the surrounding assembly. If the mating faces do not approach each other evenly, the rubber can receive very different contact around one joint. A custom thickness should be chosen after that closing relationship is understood.
Observe the joint as its intended fasteners are secured. A cover that pivots toward one fixing point can touch the gasket there while leaving another region open. Flexible material may accommodate the designed movement, but it should not be expected to correct a bent cover or an incompatible fastening arrangement.
Compare the final contact pattern with the order in which the joint closes. A deeply compressed area beside one fastener and a lightly contacted region between fasteners call for inspection of the mating structure. Use the assembly's specified closure method and evaluate the selected compound under the actual service conditions. During replacement, investigate that uneven pattern before adding thickness across the entire gasket, which also changes regions that may already be contacting correctly.

Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
