A silicone cable bushing with a protective sleeve should be supported during cable insertion so the sleeve does not fold into its own bore. This is particularly relevant when the passage is close fitting or the cable has a soft outer jacket. The molded profile can be customized to the cable and mounting arrangement.
Plan the assembly direction and ensure that the cable end has no exposed feature likely to catch the rubber. A connector or bulky termination may require the bushing to be fitted earlier in the harness process. Avoid stretching the sleeve beyond its intended installation method simply to pass an oversized end through it.
After insertion, inspect the sleeve along its length and confirm that the retaining section has not been dragged away from the panel. The cable should emerge without a sharp kink at the exit. Select the silicone compound for the actual operating and cleaning conditions, and use only an assembly method compatible with both rubber and jacket. If insertion repeatedly damages the same area, review the bore profile or assembly sequence before continuing production.

Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
