Rubber furniture feet create support points beneath a furniture item, while a bumper version provides contact where two parts meet. Custom molding can adapt the rubber profile to either role, but the mounting position and contact direction need to be defined. A foot supporting weight and a bumper receiving occasional contact do not necessarily use the same geometry.
For a furniture base, check the installed height and the arrangement of all support points. For a bumper location, identify the actual meeting point and the clearance required when the parts close. The rubber needs enough supported area to remain located without rolling or being squeezed past an edge.
Fit the component to a clean mounting surface using the attachment intended by the design. Inspect the finished furniture for level support or correct closing position, as applicable. Keep the contact surface free of grit and residue. Grip varies with floor condition, so maintain the feet rather than treating rubber contact as a guarantee against movement. Replace worn parts before the underlying hard surface becomes exposed.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Custom molding can adapt the rubber profile to either role, but the mounting position and contact direction need to be defined. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
