Product Overview

Rubber crutch ends form the replaceable contact point between a compatible crutch leg and the walking surface. The molded tip surrounds the lower end of the shaft and provides an elastomer base beneath it. Because this part belongs to a mobility aid assembly, its fit, contact geometry and retention must be evaluated against the requirements of the complete aid rather than selected by appearance alone.

When developing a replacement tip, record the shaft diameter or profile, the insertion depth and the condition of the shaft end. The internal cavity needs to seat correctly without leaving the shaft partly engaged. Check whether the original assembly uses an internal support feature and include that requirement in the drawing; the presence of such a feature should not be assumed from an exterior photograph.

ETOL offers custom molding with options for dimensions, hardness, material and color. A sample review should address the way the aid contacts the surface at its normal operating angles. Provide the original equipment specification and any required verification criteria when requesting a quotation. Match the tip to the particular crutch configuration and evaluate retention and ground contact within the complete aid's specified operating conditions.

Inspect rubber crutch ends for a worn contact pattern, embedded debris, splitting or movement on the shaft. The base should be kept clean, and a damaged or insecure tip should be addressed according to the equipment manufacturer's maintenance instructions. Surface conditions can change traction, so a rubber contact face should not be treated as assurance against slipping. For production development, retain an approved fitted sample and document the mating shaft dimensions. This gives replacement orders a defined reference and helps avoid substitutions that look similar but differ at the internal seating surface.

Material options
Custom silicone or rubber formulation, with dimensions and color adapted to the mating component.
Hardness range
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A; rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Compare firmness under load at the intended contact face. The internal cavity needs to seat correctly without leaving the shaft partly engaged.
Custom profile & fit
Match the tip to the particular crutch configuration and evaluate retention and ground contact within the complete aid's specified operating conditions.
Assembly considerations

Design check
Inspect rubber crutch ends for a worn contact pattern, embedded debris, splitting or movement on the shaft.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
