Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
A silicone shock-absorber with bolt attachment should meet its opposing surface at the intended point in the mechanism's travel. The bolt locates the part, while the rubber body provides the developed contact geometry. Thread engagement and bumper height need to be specified separately.
Custom dimensions, materials and colors allow the component to follow the assembly. Define the direction of contact and the available space for deformation. The fastening method should secure the attachment without leaving the rubber twisted or precompressed beyond its working position.
Evaluate representative movement with the actual mating surface. An angled approach may load one edge first, creating damage that is not resolved by a larger bolt. Inspect the contact pattern and verify that nearby rigid parts remain clear. During maintenance, check the attachment for loosening and the rubber for lasting flattening or splitting. If contact height has changed, review the complete stopping arrangement before replacement. Preserve the developed hardware and material configuration so the new part restores the intended interface.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The bolt locates the part, while the rubber body provides the developed contact geometry. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
