A custom rubber damper with bolt combines an elastomer body with a fastening interface for the surrounding assembly. The mounting stack should secure the part while leaving the intended rubber section available to deform. Brackets, washers, and adjoining surfaces can change that working space once everything is tightened.
Review the completed connection rather than the loose damper alone. A large washer or an overhanging bracket can contact rubber that was meant to remain free. The result may be a different response from the intended design, even though the bolt is secure. The final assembly should also leave clearance for movement of the supported component without allowing an unintended rigid contact path.
Size, color, and material are available for customization. Select the compound around the actual contact conditions and environment. During maintenance, check for new marks at the edges of adjoining hardware. Such marks can show that the mount is being constrained in a different area. Replace damaged parts with the complete intended configuration, including the fastening details and rubber geometry.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The final assembly should also leave clearance for movement of the supported component without allowing an unintended rigid contact path. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
