A silicone bumper for chair protection can cushion a specific point where the chair frame meets another surface. This may be separate from the leg's normal floor contact, so the bumper location should be based on the contact that actually occurs. A soft piece placed nearby cannot compensate for missing the point of impact.
Observe the chair's intended movement or storage position and identify the surfaces that approach one another. The bumper needs enough clearance to remain attached without blocking that movement. Its size also changes the spacing between the parts, which can matter in a closely fitted chair arrangement.
Choose the retaining method and rubber geometry together so the part stays in place as contact is made and released. No specific shock absorption or damage-prevention guarantee follows from the material alone. During routine cleaning, inspect for a shifted bumper, a polished wear patch or a torn edge. If the contact repeatedly falls outside the intended face, correct the location or shape rather than adding more rubber at random.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A chair bumper needs room to remain attached without restricting the chair's intended movement. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
