Product Overview

A custom rubber bumper in silicone can follow a contact arrangement with an offset surface or restricted mounting space. The custom outline should identify which regions carry force and which simply provide clearance. A narrow projection should not become the main contact point unless the design has been developed for that duty.

Material, dimensions and color options allow the damper to match its assembly. Define the direction of approach and the deformation space around the contact. If surface grip is important, evaluate the selected silicone on the actual opposing material under representative conditions.

During fitting, align the profile using its intended locating features rather than twisting the rubber to reach the seat. Check the complete mechanism through its normal motion and inspect whether contact remains on the developed area. Repeated edge damage can indicate orientation or alignment problems. During maintenance, keep the surface free of abrasive particles and examine the attachment as well as the visible body. A different hardness should be assessed with the full geometry, not used as an automatic correction for an asymmetric load.

Material options
Custom silicone compound; formulation and geometry developed together.
Hardness selection
Silicone options: 20–80 Shore A. Define the direction of approach and the deformation space around the contact.
Custom geometry
The custom outline should identify which regions carry force and which simply provide clearance.
Fit evaluation
Check the complete mechanism through its normal motion and inspect whether contact remains on the developed area.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; part identification clear of mounting seats and loaded faces.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly

04

Produce & inspect

Manufacture and check against the approved requirements

Review the intended assembly

Working conditions

Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.

Material and structure

Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.

Installation

Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
