A custom grommet gives a nonstandard panel opening a fitted rubber boundary for wiring. The structure can follow the specific cutout and passage rather than forcing the assembly to accept a standard ring. Material, size, hardness and color can also be selected for the surrounding conditions.
Begin by identifying the dimensions that control location. These usually include the panel engagement, the passage clearance and the outer features that must avoid neighboring hardware. A dimension affecting appearance may have more freedom than one that holds the grommet in position, so consider their roles separately.
Review the assembly order with the actual cable and its termination. The rubber needs to be installable without excessive stretching or cutting, and its retaining area should remain accessible for inspection. Check the finished shape after the cable supports are attached, when the real direction of force becomes clear. During maintenance, preserve those locating details if the part is replaced. A close visual match can miss a small feature that keeps a nonstandard grommet from rotating or pulling out of the panel.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The structure can follow the specific cutout and passage rather than forcing the assembly to accept a standard ring. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
