Oblong cable grommets fit an elongated panel entry whose long sides meet curved ends. For this shape, overall length and width do not fully describe the fit. The end curvature and the way it joins the sides need to correspond with the molded retaining profile.
ETOL can customize dimensions, material, hardness and color, including silicone-oriented designs. Compare the finished cutout with the intended perimeter, then check the panel thickness held in the groove. A close fit along the straight portion should not require the end sections to stretch sharply into place.
Arrange the cable or bundle to use the available passage without loading only one curved end. The lead may shift toward an end when its external support is tightened, so inspect the entry after that step rather than stopping at the loose fit.
When inserting the grommet, work around both ends gradually and check for an inward-rolled lip. If the panel has limited access behind it, complete the seating inspection before nearby components are installed. During servicing, avoid levering at the narrow curved end with a sharp tool. Remove the rubber in a controlled way and inspect the entire groove before reuse, particularly where the straight and curved sections meet.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Arrange the cable or bundle to use the available passage without loading only one curved end. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a through-hole or blind-hole profile, then compare the dimensions for your panel and cable arrangement.
133 sizes with an open passage for cables. Match the outside dimensions, opening, panel hole, panel thickness and overall thickness. Dimensions are in millimeters (mm).
