Flat rubber rings for jars provide a contact layer between the jar and its closure. Their width should suit the available sealing land without projecting unnecessarily into the opening or beyond the lid. The ring's relaxed dimensions are the useful reference when developing a custom size.
For this silicone design, consider how the lid moves during closing. A turning or clamping action can drag the ring if it is not adequately located, leaving a folded section that is difficult to see afterward. Evaluate the jar and lid together using the intended closure method.
Choose the silicone formulation for the food or liquid involved and the expected cleaning conditions. Before fitting, remove residue from the jar rim and the ring's two flat faces. After closure, check the visible perimeter for an uneven projection that could indicate displacement. A jar used in a different storage orientation or process should have its sealing performance assessed for that condition. Replace rings with cuts or lasting distortion rather than trying to hide a damaged area deeper beneath the lid.

Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
