An oval blind rubber grommet closes an elongated cutout with a solid rubber center. Its outer profile locates in the panel, while the blank surface covers an opening that is not currently used. Custom dimensions, compound and color allow the part to follow the panel layout.
Measure the rounded ends and the longer sides of the cutout. The grommet should seat around the complete perimeter without stretching the center across the hole. Check that the flange has enough flat panel area and that internal hardware remains clear of the closed section.
For an opening that may be accessed during servicing, leave room to release the retaining edge without puncturing the membrane. Inspect the part after removal, especially at the curved ends where extraction force can concentrate. A closure used again should retain its original shape and have no tears through the center. If the panel is modified for a cable or another passage, select a component designed for that new configuration rather than cutting the blind grommet and expecting it to perform the same closure function.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The outer profile locates in the panel, while the blank surface covers an opening that is not currently used. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a through-hole or blind-hole profile, then compare the dimensions for your panel and cable arrangement.
