Product Overview

A rubber sleeve for pipe coverage can be custom molded with a profile that follows the pipe or cable and its receiving entry. The extended section should cover the intended area, while any grommet-style seat locates the part at the surrounding feature. Both areas need to fit without forcing the sleeve into a fold.

Check the outside shape of the covered component and the space near connectors or bends. The installation sequence may need to place the sleeve before an enlarged end is fitted. The retaining groove, where used, should match the finished wall thickness independently of the sleeve bore.

Fit the part cleanly without twisting it around the pipe or cable. Inspect the assembly in its normal route and provide the support required by the complete design. Select the compound for the actual environment and contact conditions. A protective sleeve is not automatically a fluid-carrying or pressure-rated tube. During service, look for cuts or localized rubbing and correct the route before replacing the part with the matching construction.
