Rubber feet for chair frames should meet the floor where the frame is intended to carry weight. These small black components can be incorporated into a compact support arrangement, but their location and mounting method need to follow the leg geometry. A foot placed off the main load path may lean or wear on one side despite having adequate overall size.
Compare the underside of each leg with the foot's seating area. Include any angle at the leg end and the clearance available for attachment. The installed set should support the chair evenly without requiring one foot to deform substantially more than the others just to reach the floor.
Assess contact on the intended flooring and with the chair used in its normal manner. Lift and reposition the chair to check that every foot remains attached. During cleaning, remove debris from the contact face and look for an exposed edge of the frame. Uneven wear is a reason to inspect leg alignment as well as to replace the affected rubber part.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
