Product Overview

A Rubber Bellows Tube uses an accordion profile to cover a moving region while allowing the folds to change position. The dimensions, material, hardness, and color can be customized around the mechanism. Its useful design envelope includes both the shortest and longest positions encountered during operation.

Start with the full travel of the part being covered. At compression, the folds need enough room to gather without being crushed against adjacent hardware. At extension, they should remain within the movement established for the design. The surrounding clearance must also account for changes in the bellows diameter and any sideways movement of the mechanism.

The ends need to fit their mounting locations without transferring unnecessary twist into the folded section. Consider access for installation before other components make the attachment points difficult to reach. Evaluate the complete travel slowly during assembly, watching for rubbing at individual folds and interference near brackets.

For dust-cover service, keep accumulated debris from packing tightly into the valleys. Use a cleaning method compatible with the selected rubber and the equipment beneath it. Inspect the fold roots and end transitions during maintenance because damage there can be less visible when the tube is compressed. A replacement should reproduce the required travel envelope as well as the end sizes.

Material options
Rubber compound options, customized alongside the profile and contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Solid rubber options: 30–90 Shore A. At compression, the folds need enough room to gather without being crushed against adjacent hardware.
Custom geometry
The surrounding clearance must also account for changes in the bellows diameter and any sideways movement of the mechanism.
Fit evaluation
Evaluate the complete travel slowly during assembly, watching for rubbing at individual folds and interference near brackets.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; identification clear of folds and end connections.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
