A rubber bush grommet gives a cable a cushioned route through an opening with a shaped body around the passage. The bush form should align with the cable's resting direction so the jacket does not push the rubber to one side or expose the underlying edge.
For this customizable product, dimensions and structure can be adjusted along with compound, hardness and color. Assess the distance through the opening as well as its diameter. A longer contact region may need more careful alignment because an angled cable can load the bore unevenly along its length.
Define the expected moisture exposure with the cable routed and supported in its working position. Any required exclusion of moisture depends on the fitted contact at the panel and cable, including the effect of cable movement. Evaluate those contacts in the assembled position rather than treating the loose rubber part as a complete seal.
During installation, keep the bush from rolling as the cable is passed through. Check that both ends of the bore remain open and correctly shaped. If the cable later shifts, inspect the mounting seat before simply pulling it back to its original route.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. A longer contact region may need more careful alignment because an angled cable can load the bore unevenly along its length. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
