Product Overview

Rubber coated metal parts combine an insert or hardware element with a molded rubber region. For vibration related use, the metal interface locates the component while the rubber provides the intended compliant contact. Both parts of the construction should be developed around the actual mounting and loading arrangement.

Establish where force enters and leaves the component. The exposed hardware must remain accessible for fastening, while the rubber needs suitable support and clearance. A tool bearing on the molded surface can damage it during installation, and an unintended metal contact elsewhere may create a rigid path around the rubber. Evaluate the complete hardware stack before selecting the final profile.

The compound should suit the local temperature, fluids, and operating motion. Assess the finished assembly under the actual load direction and vibration conditions; neither insert size nor rubber hardness defines a universal capacity or isolation result. The transition between metal and rubber should remain intact throughout the intended use.

During maintenance, inspect that transition, the attachment points, and nearby clearances together. Separation, uneven deformation, or a changed mounting position can alter the way the component is loaded. Replacement should preserve the insert interface and molded geometry as one configuration so the original load path and support relationships are restored.

Material options
Rubber compound options, customized alongside the profile and contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Solid rubber options: 30–90 Shore A. Assess the finished assembly under the actual load direction and vibration conditions; neither insert size nor rubber hardness defines a universal capacity or isolation result.
Custom geometry
The exposed hardware must remain accessible for fastening, while the rubber needs suitable support and clearance.
Fit evaluation
Evaluate the complete hardware stack before selecting the final profile.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; OEM markings clear of the working interface.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
