Product Overview

A Rubber die cutting pad can be customized as a flat cushioning piece with an adhesive backing. Its outline should follow the available mounting area while leaving nearby holes, fasteners and service features accessible. A well-positioned cut shape avoids having to trim the rubber after it has been bonded.

ETOL can vary the dimensions, structure, material, hardness and color. Establish the intended contact area and the space that must remain clear. Where the pad has a narrow section or an internal opening, consider how it will be handled during application so that feature is not stretched out of alignment.

Check alignment with more than one edge of the base. A pad placed squarely against one side may still cover a small service hole elsewhere, especially on an asymmetric outline.

Prepare the substrate for the selected adhesive and align the pad before pressing it down. Avoid lifting and reapplying small sections repeatedly, which can contaminate the backing or distort the cut outline. Follow the bonding requirements before loading the cushion. Inspect that the mating part lands on the intended region and does not peel an exposed corner during movement. If the assembly changes, update the pad shape rather than cutting away a bonded edge beside sensitive hardware.

Material options
Custom rubber compound and color, selected for the contact conditions and required geometry.
Hardness range
30–90 Shore A for rubber. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: Avoid lifting and reapplying small sections repeatedly, which can contaminate the backing or distort the cut outline.
Custom profile & fit
A well-positioned cut shape avoids having to trim the rubber after it has been bonded.
Assembly considerations
Check alignment with more than one edge of the base.
Design check
Inspect that the mating part lands on the intended region and does not peel an exposed corner during movement.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
