Product Overview

A rubber membrane keypad brings multiple controls into a custom molded surface, with the key positions arranged around the product's operating sequence. This silicone keyboard can be developed as a larger key array, a small control group, or an individual button format. Size, color, and marking are customizable, allowing the physical layout and the visual instructions to be considered as one interface.

Key spacing should reflect how the keyboard will be used. Closely grouped controls may save panel area, but the finger needs a clear target without pressing the neighboring key. The height of each key above the enclosure and the clearance around its sides also influence access. An assembled trial should include corner keys and keys close to a raised bezel, where an approach from the side may feel different from a press at the center.

Silkscreen printing, embossed or debossed details, and color-filled markings are available options. Keep essential symbols within the visible key surface after assembly. For commands that are used together, consistent symbol orientation helps the operator follow the sequence without rotating the product.

The rubber component must align with the intended switching arrangement beneath it. Verify that every key returns freely and that tightening the enclosure does not hold a key partly depressed. Cleaning should remove surface residue without leaving fluid or particles around the key openings; the completed enclosure determines how those openings are protected.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Closely grouped controls may save panel area, but the finger needs a clear target without pressing the neighboring key.
Custom dimensions
The height of each key above the enclosure and the clearance around its sides also influence access.
Fit & assembly

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
