A silicone rubber o ring should be developed using its relaxed diameter and section together with the receiving groove. An old ring removed from service may be stretched or flattened, so its current shape may not represent the intended original fit. The groove provides an important reference for a replacement design.
Custom dimensions, hardness and color allow the seal to follow the assembly. Select the silicone formulation for the actual medium, temperature and duration of exposure. The installed compression and available groove space should be assessed with the complete mating components.
During fitting, avoid twisting or rolling the ring into position. Inspect the groove for particles and sharp entry edges before closing the joint. Evaluate the finished seal under representative operating conditions. During maintenance, look for localized cuts, extrusion or an uneven compression pattern. These marks can reveal an assembly or clearance issue. If the ring repeatedly deforms in the same area, review the receiving geometry and installation sequence before selecting a larger section to make the joint feel tighter.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
