Rubber shock and vibration mounts provide compliant interfaces within an engine support arrangement. The custom rubber profile and attachment geometry should be selected around the engine mass, mounting positions, and expected movement. The mounts operate as part of a system that includes the supporting frame and connected components.
Consider the engine's position both at rest and during operation. The mounts need the intended clearance around them, and the support arrangement should preserve the required alignment of connected parts. Hoses, wiring, exhaust components, or other connections should not unintentionally restrain the movement the mounting design permits. A rigid contact elsewhere in the assembly can also change the vibration path.
Select the rubber formulation for the local temperature and fluid exposure at each mounting location. Assess the finished mounting arrangement through the relevant operating conditions, including changes associated with starting or stopping. Size and hardness alone do not define an engine load capacity or isolation result.
During maintenance, inspect the rubber, attachment points, and nearby clearances together. Uneven deformation or a changed resting position can affect more than one connection. A replacement should preserve the intended mount geometry and material assignment, followed by a check of the complete engine support and connected routes in their assembled state.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The custom rubber profile and attachment geometry should be selected around the engine mass, mounting positions, and expected movement. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
