Product Overview

A custom self adhesive pad combines a rubber or silicone contact layer with an attachment surface. The outline and thickness should suit the intended location, while the adhesive system needs to match the substrate and operating conditions. The useful bonding footprint should be defined before installation.

Check the surface for recesses, seams, or raised features that reduce continuous contact. Prepare it using the selected adhesive's intended method without damaging the finish. Position the pad accurately and follow the required attachment conditions rather than repeatedly lifting it to adjust alignment.

The rubber face should perform its intended contact role without interfering with nearby openings or moving parts. Assess the complete assembly after the attachment process is complete. During maintenance, inspect the pad edge for lifting and keep particles off the exposed contact surface. If replacement is needed, remove old residue through the appropriate method and restore the required material, thickness, and footprint so that the original clearance and contact position are preserved.

Material options
Custom silicone or rubber formulation, with dimensions and color adapted to the mating component.
Hardness range
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A; rubber: 30–90 Shore A. Compare firmness under load at the intended contact face. Prepare it using the selected adhesive's intended method without damaging the finish.
Custom profile & fit
The outline and thickness should suit the intended location, while the adhesive system needs to match the substrate and operating conditions.
Assembly considerations
Position the pad accurately and follow the required attachment conditions rather than repeatedly lifting it to adjust alignment.
Design check
Check the surface for recesses, seams, or raised features that reduce continuous contact.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
